' Wellington-, Friday. fire Wellington Acclimatisation Society ( pioceeded in the Magistrate's Court to-day , against Walter Hobart Inman, secretary of , the Wellington Club, charging him with , having, oil September 20, been found in i possession of 10 trout during the close season. Defendant entered a plea of guilty. L 1 L appeal# that Mr. Inman came to the I colony about six months ago to take over ; the management of the Wellington Club. , He purchased the trout from some person ; who came to the club, not knowing that if he acquired possession of them he would s be guilty of a breach of the Acclimatisation | Society's regulations. The trout were afterwards placed in a freezer, and on the occasion of General Babingtou's dinner wei'6 ( prepared and disposed of. His, Worship imposed a fine of £2, with £2 15s costs.
