WEST LAND'S MINING RESOURCES.

It was resolved to form a prospecting association to raise'local ' J. funds and apply to the Government for a < subsidy of £2 for £1, to prospect the back . country, and follow up the locations indicated in Dr. Bell's recently published report. It was resolved to set up a committee to confer with the Ross people with tv regard to working the rich auriferous Ross Flat, also to arrange to meet the Farmers' '•[ Association with regard to the development of the limestone district. Further, a committee was set up to watch the 'interests of the district in regard to the development of electrical power from the water system of the district. The meeting was attended by delegate.' ' from all the mining centres.
