As. usual -d, feature of the day will be the' united procession and it will be followed by ''a sports meeting in;the Domain Cricket Ground. .The en- ; tries received for the procession are satis- • factory. Included in them are such well- ! known bodies as the City. Council, Tramways Company, Northern Roller Milling Company, the ship, yacht, and boat builders, Ferro-Conerete Company, Painters' Union, and the railway men, etc. In many instances tradesmen will be seen at their, work. The Painters' Union will have a model house on a lorry, with the men at work. The City Council will have eleven turnouts, including the ' motorwaggon,' while the Tramways Company will exhibit a decorated car, and the Tramways Union will have an old horse car in the procession. There will also be other large exhibits, some companies and unions turning out four, and others even up to ten, vehicles. The music for the procession will be provided by the following bands: First Battalion, Regimental, Auckland Mounted Rifles, Methodist Mission, and 14 pipers. All competitors must be at Quay-street at nine a.m., where they will form up. From Quay-street the procession will be up Queen-street, Wellesley-street West, Hobson-street, Pitt-street, Karangahape Road, Symonds-street, Khyber. Pass, and Grafton Road to the Domain. On arrival at the Domain the procession will disperse. On the cricket ground a sports meeting will be held, for which a good programme has been arranged. Included in the events will be running, jumping, football kicking contests, amateur wrestling, and dancing. To-day will be practically' a general holiday. The Auckland Stock Exchange will be closed as also will the railway goods shed. The Tramways Company's service will be suspended in Queen-street from about tun o'clock until the procession has passed out. The cars from Onehunga and land will only go as far as . Wellesleystreet West, while the Ponsonby and Grey Lynn cars will go to Custom-street, via Hobson-street. The Post and Telegraph offices will be open as usual to-day. There will, however, only be one delivery by the lettercarriers. [BY TELEGRAPH.— rRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington-, Tuesday. Labour Day will be partially observed as a holiday to-morrow. The chief attractions are the Otaki races and the Trades and Labour Council's picnic.
