The Dunedin Star states that aggressive measures are to be taken to compel people to vaccinate their children, or at least to furnish good reason, as provided by the section, why they should not be vaccinated. It is a fact that for some considerable time barely 15 per cent, of the children born have, 'been vaccinated, and the matter is, of course, serious in the event of an outbreak o>' smallpox. ; To-da* being Labour Day. the usual monthly meeting of the Auckland branch of the Libera! and Labour Federation has been postponed until Wednesday, 17th iust. An advertisement appears in another col umn, in reference to the Solomon Solution Embrocation, which is staled to be a moal valuable remedy.
