The carters and waggoners of Waihi, are objecting to, the new by-law regulating the width of tires. Several new carts have just been procured, and it is contended that an unnecessary hardship will be inflicted on those who purchased new wheels before the Council signified its intention of enforcing the law in question. A meeting of carters and carriers appointed a deputation to wait upon the Borough Council and ask for. a reconsideration of the matter.' It, was also decided to ask the Council to erect a public weighbridge. , . • = A horse owned by Mr. W. H.
