NO. 8 GARRISON ARTILLERY COMPETITIONS. The memljcrs of the No. 8 Company Garrison Artillery Volunteers fired a match for two trophies at the Penrose range on Saturday afternoon. The ranges were 300 yds and 600 yds. seven shots at each distance (one sighter). and the result was aa follows: — Quartermaster-Sergeant Pendall, 26 at 200ycl«, 31 at 600 yds (handicap 3): total, 60; Sergeant Bickerton. 23 and 20 (9): total. 57; Lieutenant Aylett, 31 and 26 (scratch): total. £7; (runner Dickey. 31 and 24 (scratch): total, 55; Gunner James, 25 and 14 (6): total, 45; Gunner Vollemere. 22 and 19 (10): total. 51; Gunner Raid. 20 and 14 (6): total, 40; Gunner Norton, 19 and 15 (3): total, 37.
