Atkinson returned from their visit to Australia yesterday' by the Maheno. Judge and Mrs. Seth-Smitli were passengers by the Rarawa yesterday for Now Plymouth. Mr. Justice Cooper was a passenger yesterday - morning -by the Takapuna from * New Plymouth. Mr. Lamb, of the Parker-Lamb Timber Company, returned from Sydney yesterday by the Maheno. Mr. J. M. Menni© returned by the Maheno from Sydney yesterday, after a short visit to Australia. Captain Pearce, of the Wairoa S.S. Company, was a passenger from Sydney s yesterday by the Maheno. Mr. E. W. Alison, M.H.R. for Waitemata, arrived from Wellington on Saturday, and returns to Wellington to-day. Mrs. George 'T. Niccol and her eon were passengers from Sydney by the Maheno yesterday, after a short visit to Australia. . Messrs. Harold Ashton and Marcus, the well-known theatrical agents, were passengers from Sydney by the Maheno yesterday. Miss Gudgeon, who arrived from Rarotonga by the Hauroto on Thursday, left for Wellington by the To Anau on Saturday. Captain Percy Atkin, British Commissioner to the Cnristchurch Exhibition, left Sydney for Wellington on Saturday by the Waikaro. >. Graham Grow, Government Trade v, Commissioner, left Wellington for Auckland yesterday, en route to Canada, where he is to introduce New Zealand products to the people of the Dominion, with a view to opening'up trade relations. Mr. Stringer, chief officer of the Aparima, is to join the Moana' whilst that vessel is in the Vancouver running. Mr. Vint, second officer of the Aparima, has been promoted to chief officer, Mr. McKenzie, late second officer of the Pukaki, is second officer and Mr. Williamson is now third officer of the Aparima.
