An accountant named Shaw has been arrested at Santiago, in Chili, on a charge of embezzling £9000 from the firm of Noyes Brothers, engineers, of Sydney. Shaw has arrived in custody at Liverpool, on route for Sydney. He was bookkeeper to the firm, and absconded to ; Chili. - r |
