The Postal Department has engaged au additional letter carrier, making three in all. Postal facilities here are by no means satisfactory/With such a scattered community as Waihi, there should be at least five carriers. However, the additional letter carrier will now give two daily deliveries within certain portions of the borough.

The annual meeting of the Waihi Cricket Association was held last evening. The following officers were elected for the season: — Patron, Mr. W. H. Horries, M.H.R.; president, Mr. W. Crawford Brown; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. Benge and Pattulloj hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. W. Cave (Mr. Cave agreed to take the position temporarily).
