A 'match ha» been an anged under the auspices of the Franklin Rugby Union to be played at Clevedon to-morrow between a team representing the combined Otnliulni and Won on districts and a team from the rest of the Franklin district. A football match' will be played to-morrow at Alexandra Park between the .Manchester Unity town Oddfellows and the Goldfields Oddfellows. Moore was appointed referee for the Paeroa-Hamiltoii match ■on Saturday next. . It was decided to piny the concluding cup match' between East and West on September 8. The resignation of Mr. Brown from the committee owing to his departure from Paeroa was received with regret. , OTA GO V. NORTH OTAGO. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Oamabit, Thursday. 11l the football match Otago representative team, v. North Otago, played to-day, the game was won by North Otago by 9 points to 7. On the whole the opinion was that, the best team won. The play of Otago was disappointing, probably owing to the fact that several of their players were not with the team. HOCKEY. AUCKLAND V.THAMES. The Auckland representative team leave for the Thames by the Wakatere to-morrow morning at half-past six o'clock and play the Thames representative team the same day. The team chosen is a strong one. and as the Thames will also put a strong combination 1 in the Held a close match is anticipated. Mr.- S. .Sarah will manage the team, and the Aucklanders have received an invitation to attend the Huia. Ladies' Hockey Club's dance on Saturday evening. The following .is the Auckland team:—Sarah.
