A max named Calvert Sands, a cloth finisher, about 37 years of age, and a resident of Kaikorai, was run, over and killed on the Roslyn tram line shortly ..after eleven o'clock last night. At the,inquest the jury returned a verdict of accidentally, killed, with no blame attachable to anyone. Deceased had travelled in an earlier car, and was under the influence of liquor, but was quiet, and apparently in charge of another man. . After leaving the car he must have followed the line down the steep descent into Kaikorai Valley, and either fell or laid down on the line.
