Hill, West Harbour, Dunedin, Roslyn, Mornington, St. Kild'a, Mosgiel, Milton, Lawrence,. Tapanui, Queenstown,' Invercargill, and Riverton. The following are some of the figures —
The return shows that Wellington harbours more Chinese than amy other city ,or .town. There are 31.6 male, and 18 female Chinese there. Auckland lias 111, Palmersi on North 72. Greymoutli 111, Dunedin 204. Christchurch 47. Altogether there are 1372 Chinese in the country, of whom 68 are women.
To every 100 per.«ons in counties there were 78 persons in boroughs at the census of 1896, 84 at the. census of 1901, and 93 at that of 1906.
