NEW ZEALAND WOODS.
FOREIGN INQUIRIES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —rRESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, Thursday. A quantity of New Zealand woods is being shipped to Amsterdam for exhibition there. The consignment includes black and white pine, riniu, kauri, manuka, puriri, honeysuckle, maire, and lancewood. From Vienna has also come a request for specimens of durable timbers, freight rates, and so on. Timber firms in Wellington have been receiving many foreign inquiries for mottled kauri, totara knot, and other fancy woods, which are largely used in England and Germany for veneering.
