YfHAKGAREI. Friday. THE sports of the Marsden Mounted Rifles were held at their camping ground. Kensington Park, yesterday afternoon. Following are. the results : Hurdle Handicap, 220 yds: W. Vailc, 1; Sep geanfc Luke Webbe, 2. Victoria Cross, over three hurdles: Corporal Sutherland and Lance-Corporal Anderson were declared the winners, with Privates Vaile and Crawford a good second.

Trotting Rs;ce, twice round the course: Private Ruff. 1; Sergeant Mackcsy. 2. Night Alarm: McMillan, 1; Maslm, 2. Horse Race, on the flat, once round: Private Ruff's mount won by about a length, and, Private Ayres' mount gamed second place by a neck. , Fours, jumping over two flights ol hurdles, returning on flat to starting point: Sergeant Hetheriufftoji, Privates Jones. Crawford, and Vaile, 1; Lance-Corporal Anderson. Corporal Sutherland. Privates Hunter and Ruff, 2. Lloyd-Lindsay: Corporal Heave's troop (60 noints), 1; Corporal Sutherland's Ruatangata. troop (59 points), 2; Sergeant Hetbcrlngton 3 Maungakaramea troop (55 points), 3. Donkey Race: 'Hie owner of the last horse proved to he Busier Valentine, who was awarded first prize. Sergeant Johnson's mount-coming in first after a good finish and taking second prize. Horseback wrestling: Sergeant-Ma Mackesy's team won.
