Tuakau seniors: This match was played at Tuakau on Saturday afternoon and resulted in a win for Fukekohe by 14 points to 3. In the first spell honours were even, neither side gaining any advantage. In the second spell the efforts of the Tuakau players to prevent l'ukekohe from scoring were unavailing, and at the call of time l'ukekohe had the advantage as stated above. For ' the winners tries were scored by Blake, Bayley, Brunton, and Fausett. One of these was converted by Fausett. Schotield scored a try for Tuakau. Tin Tuakau forwards played a solid game, the most conspicuous being McGuire and Smccd, while the Schofield brothers, amongst the backs, showed solid:, form. The Pukekohe backs all played good games, while Bayly, MuShane, Fausett, 'and Jackson, amongst the forwards, were the most prominent. Mr. C. M. Brown officiated as referee. He had the. unpleasant dutv of ordering a Tuakau player oil' the field. Waiukn v. Bombay : The opening match of the season was played in Mr. Barriball's paddock, Waiuku, between the Waiuku and Bombay clubs on May 19. J. Bennett captained the local team and Jackson the visitors. The game was very evenly contested, neither side being able to cross the line. The matcluended in a draw. Mr. Geo. Large as referee gave every satisfaction. WAIPA RUGBY UNION. Otorohanga beat Paterangi at Otorohanga on Saturday by 8 points to nil. Tukere scored two tries, one of which was converted by Wilkinson. Otorohanga has now won the first two matches in the competition. GOLF. AUCKLAND GOLF CLUB.

A number of matches were played off on Saturday in the Bret round for the captains prize, resulting as follows Dargaville beat J.- basic, five up and lour to play; E. R. Blamfield beat M. D.
