Ohristchukch, Monday. The official laying returns of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's egg-laying competition at Lincoln College, now closed, give the following totals:— Hawkc, Silver Wyandottcs, 1281 ; -•• H. Shaw, Brown Leghorns, 1002; K. E. M. Evans, Silver Wyandottes, 992; J. Mann,. White • Wyandotte*, 984; A. Tyrce, Black Orpingtons, 923;- A. M. Price, Buff Orpingtons, 903 ; A. H. Brisrted, Buff Orpingtons, 900. The total number of eggs laid during the year was 30,183, the monthly totals being as follow*:—May, 1204; June, 1483; July, 2016; August, 3525; September, 4140; October, 3347; December, 3106; January, 2743; February, 2200: March, 1644; April, 668.
