Cooper, and seconded by Mr O. Grey, was carried: —"That Ibis meeting of Avondalt ratepayers desires to express its continued confidence in the Road Board as at present constituted, and regrets that the limited resources of the Board should be unnecessarily taxed by the expenses of a contested by-election."
