Passmore wag a passenger to Dunedin by the Wcstralia, yesterday. Sir George Clifford left Lyttelton for Wellington hist night by the M'avaioa. Captain Sharp. late of the barquentine St. Kilda, left for Napier by the Westralia yesterday. Mrs. Mand wife of Mr. F. Mander, M.H.R. for Mars-den, arrived from Whangarei yesterday by the Ngapubi. 'Hie Minister for Customs (the Hon. C. H. Mills) returned to Wellington itom Marlborough yesterday morning. The Minister for Mines and Justice (die Han.-J. McGowun) will leave Wellington for Auckland towards the end of the week. Colonel Goring, accompanied by Mrs. and Mifid Goring, left Dunediri for Auckland by the Mokoia yesterday, and will arrive on Sunday next. , Captain W. H. Heays, late of the barque Zclateur, who is to take charge of the barque Casablanca, returned from the South yesterday. . Messrs. J. Clark and T. Aitken returned from the South by the Rarawa yesterday, after having attended the Biennial Movable Committee of the M.U., 1.0.0.1., at Nel--600. Mir. R. B. Young, touring manager for Te Kangi Pai (Mrs. Howie), arrived yesterday morning by the Rarawa to make arrangements for the appearance in Auckland of Mrs. Howie in May. Mr. John Webster, of Opononi, Hokianga, is at present on a visit to Auckland, having spent several weeks at Rotorua. withstanding Mr. Webster's advanced age, he is in excellent health, and says he intends to attend the unveiling of the statue of his life-long" friend, Sir John; Logan Campbell, at Cornwall Park.
