"YE OLDE ENGLISHE FAYRE."
With continued fine weather the receipts from "Yo Okie Englishe Fayro and Carnival," being hold on the Kingsland cricket ground, bids fair to equal, if not surpass, the expectations of tho promoters. Nightly they have been favoured with large attendances, and the stalls, and side shows have been well patronised. The concerts in the largo marquee and the dancing exhibitions have been much appreciated. These latter, which are arranged by Mrs. Malcomson Boult, include amongst others: Butterfly ball, comic Japanese dance, maypole dance, skirt dances, and Charles the Second minuet. The fair will be open this afternoon and tonight, and will ('lose to-morrow night. A .special tram service is being run to the ground, whereby Ponsonby people are taken home without changing cars. Saturday night's programme is anticipated to draw a record attendance. The festival is to be followed with a moonlight excursion on Wednesday next.
