BRITAIN AND JAPAN.
NEW COMMERCIAL TREATY. By Telegraph Tress Association.—Copyright.
London, February 7. The Pall Mall Gazette says that British and Japanese Commissioners are about to discuss terms for a new commercial treaty, which, it is expected, will come into operation in July.
The present commercial treaty between the two nations was made in 1894, and came into operation in 1899. It provides for reciprocal most favoured nation treatment.
