£300,000 FROM ROCKEFELLER. By Telegraph. Association.—Copyright. (Received January 24, 10 • p.m.) % New York, January 24. Mr. J. D. Rockefeller, has given £300,000 to Chicago University. It was announced in August last that Mr. Rockefeller was preparing a scheme for distributing 5,000,000 dollars among the educational institutions of' America. It was added that he hoped the Chicago University would becomc the greatest university in the world.
