[jIY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Wellington", Thursday, Although the results of the recent law examinations are in the hands of the registrar of the University, it has* been decided not to publish them until the list has been considered by the New Zealand University Senate, which sits in Dunedin on January 24. Candidates who desire to know whether they have passed can obtain the necessary information on application to the registrar's office. The reason given for the list being withheld from publication is that in the past some feeling is alleged to have arisen to the detriment of non-success-ful candidates. There may be some justification for the action of the registrar's office (it is not an order of the Senate itself) in not giving the list to the press as usual, but if this policy were generally followed, say, in regard to schools and kindred institutions, there would quite naturally be considerable resentment.
