THE NAVUA. The Union Company's steamer Navua, Captain D. McLean, arrived from Fiji yesterday morning with a number of passengers and a cargo of fruit, etc. Mr. Murdoch, the purser, reports: The "Navua left Auckland at 2.30 p.m. on November 29 and reached Suva at 2 p.m. on December 3, after ,i tine weather passage. Discharged and loaded cargo through the group, and finally left Suva for Auckland at 10 a.m. on the fith, arriving as above. Fine weather prevailed on the passage. The Navua left for Wellington at 6.30 p.m. yesterday. . THE PROMETHEUS. H.M. Prometheus was taking in .coal, etc., yesterday, and leaves for Wellington this evening. THE AUPORI. The Northern Company's new steamer Aupouri is expected to arrive at Auckland from Scotland and way ports. to-day. The steamer's last port of call was Fremantle. which she left on November 24. Houdlette. arrived from San Francisco and Island ports shortly before 4 p.m. yesterday, and Was granted pratique, and berthed at the Queen-street Wharf. Mr. N. C.i Wilton, jun., the purser, reports: The Sierra left San Francisco at 7,45 a.m. on November 24, and met with a succession - of northerly gaits and high seas until the 27th, when the weather set in line, and continued until reaching Honolulu at 7.50 p.m. on the 29th. Resumed the voyage at 2.55 p.m. on the 30th, and had fresh winds and flue weather to Pago Pago, which port was made at 7 a.m. on December 7. Lett at 2 p.m. the same date, and made port as above. Fine weather prevailed on the passage. Time from San Franciscp to Auckland, 17 days 7 hours 15 minutes; actual steaming time, 16 days 7 hours 11 minutes. The Tyser liner Star of Ireland, Captain Kearney, arrived from New York and Australia yesterday morning with a part cargo of general merchandise, and berthed at (he Queen-street Wharf after the usual inspection. The steamer left New York on October 5, and arrived at Melbourne on November 24, having called at St. Vincent en route for a supply of bunker coal. Four days after leaving. New York the steamer encountered a cyclonic storm. The wind blew with terrific force, raising a mountainous sea, and the decks were continually flooded by the great masses of water which broke on board. The engines were slowed down frequently during the storm, and the steamer came through without any serious damage. Fine weather prevailed to Melbourne, and on discharge of cargo she left for Sydney, and.resumed the voyage to Auckland on December 7.
