AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.
A meeting of the Auckland Presbytery was hold last evening. Tho Moderator (the Rev. R. Walker) occupied the chair.' Election of Moderator: On the motion of the clerlk (the Rev. Robt. Sommerville) the Rev. R. F. Maenicol was elected Moderator for the ensuing year. Waihi Charge: A petition was received from Katikati, asking that an assistant bo appointed to the Waihi charge, and promising an annual contribution of £35 over and above the Sabbath collections. It was decided to forward the petition to the Waihi congregation for report. Resignation: The Rev. S. W. Entrican tendered his resignation of the charge of Waikato West, as he intended returning to the Old Country. It was decided to allow the resignation to lie on tho table for a month.
