Siddelli of Cams College, Cambridge, left for Rotorua .yesterday. ,; -Mr. and Mrs. G.'W Binncy were passengers to Sydney by the Manuka yesterday* . Mr. R. .S. Low, of Duncdin, a wellknown Alpine climber, is at present paying a visit to Auckland. ( ■ Mr. J. L. Young (Messrs. Henderson and Macfariane) leaves for Sydney by the mail steamer Sonoma. Mr. A. B. Reynolds, of the Auckland staff of H.M. Customs, is a passenger to Sydney by the Manuka, on a holiday trip for the benefit of his health. Mr. J. M. Corby, general secretary for the Australian Institute of Marine Engineers, who has been attending the conference in Auckland, left for Sydney by the Manuka yesterday. A movement is on foot in Paeroa to lender a reception to Mr. Moss, the member for Ohinemuri, on his return from Parliament, in recognition of the part taken by him in connection with the Criminal Code Amendment Bill. Cm Sunday, at Drury, Papakur-, and Clevedon, the election of a minister to succeed the late Rev. Thos. Norrie in the Pres- ' byterian Church took place. The Rev. W. F. Evans, brother of the minister at Warkwortb. was elected. The call was signed by 70 members, and 59 adherents. Dr. James Mackintosh Bell, director of ecological survey, arrived in Auckland from Wellington on "Sunday last, and is now awaiting the arrival of the Sonoma, from San Francisco, by which his sister is a passenger. Dr. Bell and his sister will proceed to Wellington. Subsequently Dr. Bell will return to Auckland, and will visit. the ■ Coromandel peninsula, where he will conduct a systematic and detailed survey.
