NAVAL ESCORT IN THE MEDI-
TERRANEAN.

London, October 24. When the battleship Renown, bound to India with the Prince and Princess of Wales on board, was proceeding from Genoa eastward she was met by the commander-in-chief of the Mediterranean fleet (Lord Charles Beresford) with 25 warships. These ships escorted the Renown southward from the Straits of Messina.
