There was a very large attendance, including the Governor-General (Lord Northtote), Sir Reginald Talbot, and Sir C. Bedford. There was a fine field for the Caulfield Cup, for which Torah held his position as favourite till the last. The winner, however, turned up in the New South Wales mare, Marvel Loch, who won her race in excellent style.
