MEETINGS.

PHARMACEUTICAL ASSOCIATION. At a well-attended meeting of chemists and druggists of Auckland city and Ouburbs, held at the Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday night, it was decided to form an association, to be called "The Northern Pharmaceutical Association of New Zealand." Rules, drawn up by a previously appointed provisional committee, were submitted and adopted. A strong committee of management was appointed, a»d the following officers were elected:— Mr. Oha.s. Ratjen; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. Bcoles and P. M. Mackay; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. S. A. Smith; 'honorary auditor, Mr. J. Wynyard. The aims of the association include the establishment ot a school of pharmacy and the promotion of legislation for conserving tho interests of pharmacists. *

MOUNT EDEN FREE METHODIST CHURCH. The anniversary celebrations in connection with Mount Eden Free Methodist Church wore continued on Wednesday owning. After a pleasant slathering at tea a publio meeting, presided over by the Rev. J. W. Smith, was held. The annual report, showing most satisfactory results of tt'e church work, and the- balance-sheet, showing a oredit, were adopted, and the Revs. (i. W. Smailes, Saunders, Price and Owen each delivered a short address. Misses Bouskill and Still and Messrs. Bouskill, Marks and Stewart contributed to the vocal and instrumental programme. JUVENILE FORESTERS. The combined juvenile courts of the Ancient Ordot of Foresters, Ohisman's Pride, | Zealandia's Pride (Auckland), and Vic- j toria's Pride (Deronport), were ontortainfd at a social gathering in the Foresters' H*il, Karanga.hape Road, last night. Bro. A E. Greenslado, district beadle, presided. An enjoyable programme was contributed, consisting of pianoforte solos by Sisters Fell, Hawkins and Garratt; comic song by Bro. Sutton (of Birmingham); a coon song by the members of Victoria's Pride; violin solos by Sister Cadman and Bro. Richards; songs by Sisters J. Pell and McKeown and Bros R. Ramsey and Jarman; recitations by Sisters Hartshorn and Goldsmith; and chorus by Victoria's Pride Lodge members. Refreshments were provided by the ladies of Court. Chisman. This evening, at the University College, the third of the series of competitive debates being hold between the leading literary societies of Auckland will take place the competing societies being he Athenasum and University.
