THE CRUISER SQUADRON'S VOYAGE.

The special service squadron, under Admiral Prince Louis of Battenburg, is being lavishly entertained at Quebec. Three hundred of the men from the squadrop are giving a naval exhibition in Montreal for the benefit of the charities. A similar number of men are the guests of the Government at Ottawa. The visit of the squadron has created much enthusiasm throughout Canada.

' /For its American trip the second cruiser squadron has been divided into three divisions: (1) Drake (flagship) and Bedford; (2) Cornwall and Berwick; (3) Essex and Cumberland. The squadron left Gibraltar on August 1, arriving at Quebec on August 10. Here a stay of 23 days is to be made, during which the ships will coal. On September 2 the- squadron will sail—the first division to St. John's, Newfoundland, the second to Charlotte Town, and the third to Sydney. After visiting various ports the squadron should arrive at New York on October 9, and after a stay of 11 days sail for Bermuda, and thence to Gibraltar, where it will remain till early in January. The details of the Drake' (flagship) are: Tonnage, 11,100 tons, IS guns, 23 knots; of each of the other cruisers, 9:00 tons, 14 guns, 23 knots.
