MILITARY CIRCUS INCIDENT.
AN EXPRESSION OF REGRET. [by telegraph.— .association.] Christchurch, Thursday. The officer commanding the Canterbury volunteer district has written to the Mayor expressing regret for the rough handling of one of the Council's inspectors at tho military circus, and assuring the Mayor that, far from repudiating civic authority, it is bis desire to assist the city authorities.
