FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.

ACCOMMODATION AT ROTORUA AND HANMER. [by telegraph.— association.] Wellington, Thursday. A deputation', representing various friendly societies, waited on the Minister for Health ta-day, and asked that the accommodation for members of friendly societies at Rotorua should be increased. It was also asked that concession be given at Hanmer. The Minister said he would give these representations the fullest consideration. A great many people were always applying for accommodation, and it would require a larqe vote to meet all requirements. The Government was spending £30,000 at Rotorua, and yet he was sure even then sufficient provision would not be made for all who would apply.
