The joint sub-committee representing til# , Industrial Association and Trades and Labour Council, set up to consider the best method of- encouraging local industries, met and discussed preliminaries, and have decided to ask those engaged in the various trades and industries to give evi- \ dence. Those interested in the woollen, hosiery, clothing, and tailoring trades will be invited to do so oil Wednesday next. .
