Public Notices. WHEREAS His Excellency the Governor - has been pleased to appoint us, the undersigned, to be a Commission for the purpose of making Inquiry into '.the following matters and things, viz.:1. As to the circumstances of the enrolment in the Police Force of Thomas Moses, and as to the failure of the Police Department to ascertain that prior to such enrolment he had been convicted of an offence. 2. As to the causes ,• which led to the offences committed by certain members of the Police Force in Dunedin remaining undetected, and whether any laxity of administration contributed to such non-detection. 3. And generally as to the system of control and supervision exercised by Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and Sergeants of the Police Force, and whether proper control and supervision has been exercised in Dunedin, Now we do hereby give public notice that we shall continue to conduct such Inquiry at the Supreme Court Buildings in the City of Auckland on FRIDAY, the 28th day of July, 1905, at 11 a.m., when all. persons interested in the said Inquiry are invited to Attend and give evidence. ■' ■~ ' H.
