The manager _of the Waiotahi mine reports that stoping operations in the third stope above No. 4 level are being continued, and remunerative crushing dirt is coming to hand. This stope has now been carried to the end of the ground going east, and has also been carried west a distance of 40ft from the rise. As a good deal of filling-in will soon be required in the stopes going west, it is intended to rise a short distance from the back of the stope, and to hole through to No. 2 winze. In Ao 5 eve ' good progress is being made with the crosscut, which is now in 149 ft. A good class of country continues in the shaft. Good progress is being made, and it is now down 47ft below No. 5 level. In the crosscut from the Kuranui-Oaledonian property very fair progress is being made and a distance of 26?t has been driven, the new tailings plant is working well. MANAGERS' REPORTS.
