At a meeting of the Council of the British Empire League last night, Mr. Reeves (High Commissioner for New Zealand), moved a resolution expressing the hope of the League that the Colonial Conference now periodically held will be accorded permanent existence as a Council of the Empire. The resolution was seconded by Sir John Cookburn (South Australia), and carried. During the discussion it was suggested that on such a Council as that suggested, India might be represented 1 .
