FIRE AT MATATOKE.

Thames, Monday. Yesterday morning, about two o'clock, 'a fire occurred at Matatoke, by which a large barn, owned by Mr. A. K. Maxwell, farmer, was destroyed. The barn contained a quantity of chaff, valued at £60, also harness, potatoes, a four-horse brake, chaffcutter, and other farming implements, which were all totally destroyed. The building was in sured in the Northern. Company for £125, but it is understood that the contents were not insured.
