NEW ZEALAND ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.

Christchurch, Saturday. At a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Athletio Association last night.'rem} statements of Alexander Kiclcl (Invercargill),, S. V. White (Dunedin), and T. Masefioldj (Gough's Bay) were granted. The application for reinstatement by H. D. W. Brewer was referred to Dunedin for further particulars. The application by A. Hall (Masterton) was- referred to the Victorian association. A warm discussion took place in regard to the delay in calling the meeting or the council to settle accounts in connection with the Shrubb-Duffev meeting. The secretary (Mr. C. East) said ho had intended calling the meeting immediately after Lastor, but the dates proposed were found to; be impracticable, and since then the matter had drifted along. He accepted all responsibility. The meeting went into committee, and on resuming dealt with other business. It was resolved to submit to tne : : centres proposals for a crosscountry championship this season. _• /
