[IIY TKU'.UKAVJT.— OWN CORRKSI'ON'nr.NT.] Wiiancakki, Saturday. Mr. L. J. Adams, in charge of tin- I'.ualangata nursery, forwards the following weather statistics for (1 to period from April, 3904. (o March, 1905, inclusive: —Rain fell on 88 days, with a total fall of 45.b2in. Tho heaviest monthly rainfall occurred in .rum*, 8.38 in falling en IV days. The lowest monthly fall was in February, of 0.47 in. The highest temperature was reached on January 19, of 97 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowest temperature recorded was in July, 25 decrees, or 7 degrees of frost, on the 13th of that month. Dinins the. preceding your. 1903-4, the annual rainfall registered was CLo3in. rain falling on ]]+ days. The heaviest rains were experienced in November, when 9.01 in fell on 11 days, almost continuously. The maximum temperature re-gisi-ere.d was 82 degrees Kali., on January 11, and tilt? minimum, 30 decrees, on August 23. !i is intended to present to Mr. L. v.. fiillon, district railway manager, a handsome 18 carat Rolheiham gold watch, with a massive gold albert, some time next week. On the dome of the watch is Ihe inscription:--"Presented to K. ¥,■ Gillon. _ Esq., by tha residents of Whangarei and district*."
