YE AWAMUTU SALE. j The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile j Agency Company, Limited (Hamilton), report:—At our Te Awamnta monthly stock hale on Saturday. May 6. we had a fall yard of cattle. The prices offered for the young cattle were slightly better than recent sales, and most of them changed hands at the hammer; other classes were not required, unless at low' values. Strong, good calves realised from-15s to £1 4s; others, 10s to 13s 6d; 15 month-old steers, £2 7s; yearling to 13 months heifers, £1 10s to £2 ss; forward-conditioned cow?, £4: fat sheep, 14s. A number of pigs ottered, but were not required, ami only a few were quitted at extremely low prices. A lot of produce and poultry sold well at about usual rates.
