Reran holds the records for many elk* tances. He is only 18 years of age, audi still belongs to the Sohraon training ship, lying at Sydney. The Life Saving Society of England receives him in England as its guest, and pays half his expenses. The other half is paid in Sydney, where £100 has been raised 'by subscription. Telegraphing to the society in- .England, the' secretary of the fund said that Sydney* would pay half Keran's expenses, aaid that "amount is no object."
