A RECENT CYCLING RACE.

CHitisTCHUßcn, Fridat. At a meeting of the North Canterbury centre of the League of New Zealand Wheelmoil, George Sutherland wrote regarding the Royal Enfield Cup' Race, decided at the Good Friday meeting here. The judges awarded the race to Randrup, and stated that .Sutherland should have left the track before entering the ,a.st lap. Sutherland contended that the race was run by the competitor* as directed by the officials, and claimed the race. Other competitors wrote stating that the directions given were that two men were to drop out after the first lap, and three were to finish. It, was dccidod that the action of the Christchurch Cycling and .Motor Club (the promoters of the Good Friday meeting) was 7 unconstitutional, and that the club lie instructed to award the race to Sutherland.
