COLONIAL SUGAR COMPANY.
IMMENSE PROFITS. By Telegraph Press Association Copyright. Sydket, April 29. The profits of the Colonial Sugar Company for the last half-year amounted to £171,162. A dividend, at the rat? of 10 percent, per annum, has been declared; also a jubilee dividend of 2; per cent. The sum of £16,003 has been carried to the replacement fund, and £84,963 carried forward. The .large profits are shown to have been due to the advance in the sugar market, and a record business in refined sugar. The prospects of the coming crop are satisfactory.
