The New Una Gold Mining Company yesterday secured 101b of picked stone from No. 3 stope. SUNBEAM GOLD AND SILVER MINING COMPANY. The Sunbeam Gold and Silver Mining Company propose to shortly ship 50 tons of ore from their property at the Great Barrier to Australia for smelting. The result from this trial parcel should give the shareholders a fair idea of the value of the ore being mined. The company have nowsome 400 tons of quartz in paddock, of which the 50 tons referred to will be an average sample as nearly as possible. In the mine the reef is still being driven upon at No. 2 level, a distance of 500 ft having been accomplished to date on the course of the lode. HIDDEN TREASURE G.M. CO. The Hidden Treasure Gold Mining Company have sold the bullion resulting from the treatment of 25cwt of ore for a price working out at £11 Bs' per ton. The company's mill is expected to be in readiness for crushing in about three weeks' time. A contract has been let for the cartage of 50 tons of ore to the battery, and 12 tons are on hand ready for treatment. The manager describes the ore broken as of very good quality, and he anticipates good results from its treatment. Arrangements have been made to enable the men to work at the open face during wet weather. WAIOTAHI G.M. CO. [from our OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Friday. The Waiotahi Gold Mining Company's shaft will be sunk to the depth required for the welf-11010 below the new low level about the middle of next week, and a start will then be made to cut out the chamber for the level, so that another fortnight should see the new level well in hand. As there will only be about 250 ft to drive to cut the reef at that level, and allowing for fair working country, another four months should about complete this work and prove the value of the lower block. Work in No. 2 stope above the level is still proceeding, and this stope will be beaten out next week. Colours of gold are seen through the quartz broken, which is good crushing ore. The block is still being lengthened by the extension of No. 1 stope westward. MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.
