- MONEY LYING IDLE. Ey Telegraph Press Association Copyright (Received April 28; 9.27 p.m). Mkt.Bottrnt:, April 28. The annual meeting of the Colonial Bank of Australasia was "held to-day. The profits for the half-year amounted to £19,320. A dividend of five per cent, was declared, and £10,000 was transferred to reserve and £3435 carried iorward. The report expressed regret that, notwithstanding the largo withdrawals of money to Britain, funds were collecting in the financial institutions of the. Commonwealth, thus showin? lack of the enterprise which characterised the earlier annals of the colony.
