Educational AUCKLAND QRAMMAR gCHOOL. The School Year is divided into ;hree terms, and begins in February. Pupils comaiencin the study of Secondary Subjects are recommended to enter the School at the beginning of the year's course. The Fees for Paying Pupils are due on the first day of each Term. For Pupils over 13 years of age they are £3 10s per Term, reduced to £3 3s "here more than one member (over thirteen) of the same family attend. The fee for each pupil under thirteen is £2 16s per term. First Term. 1905, began February 6th. Free Pupils are admitted at the beginning of the School Year in February in accordance with the Regulations under the Secondary Schools Act 1903. A Pupil is qualified to be the holder of a free place if— (A) He is the holder of an Education Board or National Scholarship, provided iaat the value of tlio Scholarship is not greater than £40 in the case of a Pupil obliged to live away from home, or £10 in any other case; or if (E) Being not over fourteen years oi age on the 71st of December preceding the date of his admission he Has, before entrance, obtained a certificate of proficiency as defined by the Regulations under the Education Act, 1577, or has qualified for a free place in the examination for Junior National Scholarships, or lias obtained a Certificate of Proficiency at the examination for Junior District Scholarships. The Headmaster is prepared to advise the parents of pupils from the country districts in the matter of securing residence in town for their children Notice of withdrawal of a pupil should he given before the last day of a term. Applications for admission should bo made to the Headmaster at the School, or to Mr. W. A. Camming, 315, Victoria Arcade. The parents of children who desire to to be admitted to free places are recommended to send a written application to the Headmaster as soon as possible after the publication of the li-t under which their children claim to bo qualified.
