NEGLECTED BY THE GOVERNMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION".] - Stratford, Wednesday. J A large meeting of Whangamomona district settlers pTTssed a series of resolutions, pointing out that many families have been compelled to leave the district, broken in hope, after years of struggle, on account of the high cost of the necessaries of life arising through the wretched transit facilities, and that more families are ready to follow ; that the settlers of,.Whangamomona desire regretfully to convey to the Government that they have been forced through neglect in providing reasonable transit to lose confidence in the Government, and view their own position with hopelessness.
