HOME RAY SAILING CLUB. The second scries of races for this season of the Homo Hay Sailing Club was sailed on Saturday afternoon las.l in a splendid lacing breeze. The officials for the tlav were Messrs. W. A. Reed, 11. Maguire, and N. Hunter, who carried out their duties in a very painstaking maimer. All the competitors were reefed. The following are (he details: — Class I.Entries and handicaps: Emerald, scr.; Okere, lm.; Gladys, 4m.; and Tiro, m. All got away well together except Emerald, who was some minutes late. This race was very exciting, and the result was as follows::—-Gladys. 41). VJjm. 15.-.: Okere, . th. 23m. 65<. ; Emerald, 4b. 28m. 205.; Tiro, 4h. Sin. 335. On time allowance Gladys is first, Tiro second, and Ulcere third. Class If. — Entries and handicaps: Yaldoru! ser.; Hetty, 4m.; Alofa, 6m.; Elsinore, Bm. ; Eileen, 10m. Elsinoro did not start. Hetty started late, but did not complete the course. Eileen also started late. Vaidora and Alofa not away well together, Alofa leading round the first mark, when Vakiora tool; the lead, which she maintained. Eileen gained a good dial on tho beat home. The finish was:—Valdora, 4h. 27m. 455.; Alofa 4h. 3 To. 3'Js.; Eileen. 41i. 40m. 30s. On timo allowance. Vahlora takes first place, Eileen second, and Alofa third. Class 111. Wan ho, ,-er. ; Sweet Nell. 2m. ; Rambler, 2j.m. ; _ Fountain, 9m. Fountain did not start. This was a very close race all through, and resulted as follows:—Wareho, 4h. 27ni. 295.; .Sweet Nell, 4h. 28m. 205.; Rambler, 4h. 31m. On time allowance Sweet Nell is fir<t, Wareho second, Rambler third. (.Mass V.. (open sailing boats). —Kiatere, Anomi. ami Estella, ser. ; Thelma, Ailsa, and Romeo, lm. ; Veldt, 2m.; W'aka, 4m.; and Reore, bin. This was a very exciting race. Wako capsized before) the .start.
