Sir Ji.skph Ward, in reply to a question as to whether any alteration is proposed in the time-table of the express trains, and as to whether the Minister is satisfied with the experiment of the double service, said: —"I am perfectly satisfied with the experiment so far as it has gone. We shall probably arrange before long for the first train from Christchurch leaving a little earlier, but that is the only change proposed. I am getting a report on the subject, and in the meantime I am sure the public find the double service a great convenience.
