Bannister, and occupied fay Mr. H. L. Tapley. 'The latter, : being absent in the country, sub-let the house furnished to Mr. Thomas, bank manager. The upper storey was gutted, but ' the lower was saved. The building was insured for £850 in the United office. Mr. Tapley's furniture is insured in the Queensland office, and Mr. Thomas' personal effects in the Standard office.
