The evidence went to. slid" that John Henry Woolhoßse, for whom a warrant had been issued for wife desertion, returned unexpectedly to »« wife's cottage, and after remaining (hare a time got into an altercation with * woman, whom he struck in the face. $&* left for a neighbour's. Wooliouse w« . seen to depart soon after, and the houw was seen to be on fire, and was busWJ to the ground. Woolhousc was seated to two months for desertion, and committed for trial on a charge of arson.
